Creating Predictions

Upload Wizard

The prediction creation flow uses a multi-step wizard:

Step 1: Select Market

Search for an active Polymarket market. The search shows:

Market title and category
Current odds
End date
Trading volume

You can only make one prediction per market. If you've already predicted on a market, you'll see a warning.

Step 2: Record or Upload Video

Record directly in the browser using your webcam
Upload a pre-recorded video file (MP4, MOV, WebM)
Maximum file size: 500 MB
Videos are uploaded to the CDN for fast delivery

Step 3: Add Details

Field	Required	Description
Title	Yes	Descriptive title for your prediction
Description	No	Additional context or analysis
Prediction	Yes	YES or NO on the market outcome
Confidence	No	How confident you are (1-100%)
Stake	No	USDC amount to create a betting pool

Step 4: Review & Publish

Review all details and confirm. On publish:

Your prediction is saved and the video begins processing
If staked, a betting pool is created on-chain
The prediction appears in the feed

Multi-Outcome Markets

For markets with more than two outcomes (e.g., "Who will win?"), the wizard shows all possible outcomes. You select one outcome and predict YES or NO on that specific outcome.

Market: "Winner of Super Bowl" → [Chiefs, Eagles, Bills, ...]
You pick: Chiefs → Predict YES (Chiefs will win)
Counter-bettors: Bet NO (Chiefs won't win)

Video Processing

After upload, videos go through processing:

CDN Upload — Direct to Bunny.net via signed URL
Transcoding — Converted to adaptive bitrate streams
Thumbnail — Auto-generated from video frame
Duration — Extracted from metadata

The video is playable immediately while processing completes in the background.
